A thought from a lovely reader!

A dear reader and wonderful supporter of Ada and Darcy sent me this stunning picture of her peonies as she managed to find some in Sydney of all places...

Then guess what I found myself today (after complaining in this morning's post)... Some hot pink peonies! Well who would have thought. Not sure where on earth they managed to get them from but they are little beauties. I'll show you them soon - promise... Kellie xx

Ps. Thank you darling Kate for the picture of your stunning, "Sydney" peonies! Lucky girl you are xxxx

My interest in an antique vase

I adore this stunning picture found at Judy's blog; Verandah House {a favourite blog of mine, might I add}... I think why I adore that vase so much is it reminds me of an antique vase that my Mum has at her home. Ever since I was little I used to want to touch and play with that vase {but was never allowed with Mum knowing how clumbsy I was}... I have been searching at flea markets for while for one similiar and think perhaps my search needs to start on Ebay... I'll keep you all posted on how my efforts go!

Very jealous about those peonies too, sadly not in season here in Australia but I'm about to head to the flower markets for my regular Saturday morning trip for bloom joy anyways. Kellie xx

A cupcake - ish weekend!

I am very excited to spend time at home this weekend not only to catch up on your blogs and what I have missed, but I also received a little gift in the mail that I plan on using this weekend.

Lovely Tamara knows I adore a cupcake or two (and that my cooking skills are possibly not that great) so she found me a gorgeous, simple cupcake recipe book. Not only does it have easy-peasy instructions, but it also is organised by colour... Not only do I plan on having deliciously tasting cupcakes, but gorgeous, colourful looking ones too! Kellie

Blossoms and where I have been

Oh this lovely picture reminded me that cherry blossoms should be in season very soon. I adore them and always wanted to have one in my garden. With my short attention span and their very limited flowering season i decided that it's probably best to simply buy a bunch or two each season. Oh, and in gum boots - yep i could definitely do that!

On a side note, apologies for being a little absent this week and not visiting your gorgeous blogs. Unfortunately things have been very hectic but I plan on spending lots of time on the weekend catching up with you all xxx

A fun process

Starting sourcing suppliers for my shop. Loving these. Perfect for lattes, dessert and flowers. Multi-purpose = perfection! Kellie xxx

Pretty cards for any occassion...

Such darling cards! It's always the way, when you need a gorgeous card, you just can't find one. My best friend Kate is fantastic at buying cards when she sees them and saving them for a rainy day. That way , she never suffers my dilemma {or the anxiety}! Kellie xx

A pretty table setting at our place!

My Mum and Luke's Mum along with other family members came to our place for Mother's day last Sunday.

I wanted something pretty and bright and decided to decorate our dining table with a combination of blue, white and pink splashes of colour. At the flower markets the day before I picked up three different colours of roses and some chrysanthemums in two tones of pink. I also found some white and pink spotted napkins and tied these together with the cutlery with lovely yellow and white striped ribbon.

Mum thought the table looked just beautiful and had a lovely day to match which is the most important thing! Kellie xx

Natural light at it's best!

I love nothing more than a home full of natural light. This stunning home sits so well with me as not only does the sunlight pour through at every opportunity, it has a fun, vibrant tone and makes use of it's orignal beauty. Being a lover of pink, i'm drawn to the various tones of pink, used inside and out and that plum velvet sofa is magical! I have a lovely chair at home that i'm thinking covering in hot pink velvet - some seriously stunning inspiration! Kellie xx

Who ever said....

Blue and green could never be seen!? Look at those gorgeous cushions on that sparkling white chippendale chair - magnificent huh!? My mother still thinks that green and blue were never meant to be friends but i think they get on quite well. Speaking of friends... I could be the best of friends with that stunning sofa! Divine!! Left over wallpaper - a gorgeous look!

I have lots of scaps of little pieces of wallpaper that is perfect for wrapping gifts! I decided to use the wallpaper from our bedroom {remember the post here} to wrap Mum's gift for Mother's Day. And doesn't it look just gorgeous! Kellie xx

Classical elegance today

Monday morning is here and what I need to get me kickstarted for the week is a beautiful, soft, calm room with delightful fashion to match. Something bright and bold wasn't quite right today.

I have been telling Luke in our next home there are three things that are a must (that would most certainly be in the home of this lovely room featured):

1. Original timber floorboards
2. Original ceilings
3. Original fireplace

Something to ponder over during the week. Have a lovely one everyone! Kellie xx
