Classical elegance today


Monday morning is here and what I need to get me kickstarted for the week is a beautiful, soft, calm room with delightful fashion to match. Something bright and bold wasn't quite right today.

I have been telling Luke in our next home there are three things that are a must (that would most certainly be in the home of this lovely room featured):

1. Original timber floorboards
2. Original ceilings
3. Original fireplace

Something to ponder over during the week. Have a lovely one everyone! Kellie xx

    Yes, that's a gorgeous hallway. We scored 2 of your 3 points in this house - someone had ripped out all the fireplaces. Oh well, the one we rebuilt looks quite original. I love it.

    I always am so thrown because I am on California time (Sunday night here). I love timber floors,but I have so many "musts" in my house, I may never find them all in one place.

    I agree, timber floorboards...dreamy!

    Would love an original fireplace too but I think they're much harder to come by in Australia? I may be wrong...some of the French Colonial style houses would have them in Sydney I'm sure!
