Simple

A reminder that the most simple arrangements work so perfectly well. Little ideas like this make my home a brighter place... Reminds me to grab the last few sweet peas i have before they end for the season. x

Lovely little vessels...

What a beautiful concept - darling moroccan tea glasses as vases! So pretty. Would love some for my gardenias - the perfect size!

Thank you to everyone who enquired about the icecream coloured Samantha Robinson latte cups - they are available in the store now. xx

Ada & Darcy inspired art!

Look what Kerri did from Drift Wood Interiors! Isn't this art divine and Kerri did this from a cloisonne vase from the shop as inspiration. Clever lady she is and this just made my day! Kellie xx

Glass vessels ...

There still for me, is nothing like gorgeous, mixed up glass vases to set the stage for lovely blooms on a table. I have loved that look for so long now and it seems, it still makes me all warm and fuzzy! Kellie xx

Two simple pleasures

I made a couple of very exciting purchases over the weekend - those gorgeous glass vases and my new notebooks. Even though I do have my Blackberry, I alway prefer to write things down on a note book, electronic forms just isn't the same for me. I tend to get a lot of satisfaction crossing things off my to-do list and deleting things online never feels anywhere near as satisfying. And I have this perhaps unproductive habit of re-writing my lists over and over again! It's amazing how the simple things in life give you the most pleasure! Kellie xx

My interest in an antique vase

I adore this stunning picture found at Judy's blog; Verandah House {a favourite blog of mine, might I add}... I think why I adore that vase so much is it reminds me of an antique vase that my Mum has at her home. Ever since I was little I used to want to touch and play with that vase {but was never allowed with Mum knowing how clumbsy I was}... I have been searching at flea markets for while for one similiar and think perhaps my search needs to start on Ebay... I'll keep you all posted on how my efforts go!

Very jealous about those peonies too, sadly not in season here in Australia but I'm about to head to the flower markets for my regular Saturday morning trip for bloom joy anyways. Kellie xx

Needing a good clean...

My Mum is a lover of all things new, me, well I like a bit of both. Imagine my delight when she remembered she had stored a whole lot of vintage china and silverware from her Great Uncle's home that she really wasn't that interested in keeping for herself. She must of somehow known one day this would be right up my alley as she kept it all for me for years and years...

It's definitely not the kind of thing Mum would use to style her home with and was delighted when I was over the moon to see it loved in our little place. Three gorgeous little silver jugs are now gleaming in my home. Each of these were so black from not being cleaned for years and years but just with a little love and silver cleaner, they have come up beautifully.

I have shown you one here and will share the others with you all shortly. Kellie xx

Pretty paints and the final DIY outcome!

Remember my post here with the pretty paints? Well this is what I did with them and how they turned out! Pretty don't you think!?

Step 1. Take of all the labels off the glass jars with warm soapy water
Step 2. Pour paint into the inside of the jars and removing any excess paint
Step 3. Let them dry
Step 4. Decorate them with pretty flowers!

4 little owls sitting in a tree...

How adorable are these vase owls! I would love one in every colour. So very cute.

I could move them around my home, depending on how I was feeling. With a little bunch of different flowers in each one. Gorgeous!! Kellie xx
