The Perfect DIY!

I adored this concept! Just had to share it... Here is how:

1. Select a large fruit or vegetable that will hold your variety of flowers. Cut the very top off of fruit or vegetable with a knife.

2. Carve a 3 inch round/deep opening in fruit or vegetable.

3. Carve floral foam to fit inside of votive holder.

4. Put floral foam inside of votive holder and place into the fruit or vegetable opening.

5. Pour water into votive holder.

6. Snip the stems of flowers and arrange them however you like and stick them one by one into the foam.

Hello Aussie!

I saw this over at Decor 8 - it's by the fabulous stylist Shannon Fricke who is also an Aussie like me. It is one fabulous shot (no bias at all), the styling here is just perfect. It did also remind me that my flowers are still chargrilled in the garden from all the scorching sun and there isnt a decent flower in sight. Flower markets it is for me this Saturday. Really, really early to get the pick of them! Luke, pack your bags, we're off to the markets for a 5am arrival! Kellie xx

A magical place...

I have seen this on a number of different wedding blogs and I have to say, I think this is the most beautiful use of flowers I have ever seen at a wedding shoot. I adore the elegance, magnitude of colour and the endless charm used throughout. The detail here is incredible. You could look for hours and still find new beautiful things to discover. Magical. Oh my it is definitely Friday!

A story of two F's - Feathers and Flowers!

I am particularly fond of the aesthetic created here and the vibrancy of the many colours accentuated with flowers and feathers.
