A delicious treat, or, two...

Having attempted macarons myself and the work that goes into them, i realised i may as well just purchase these from the experts... Fortunately one of the Adriano ZumBo patisseries are just a few mins away from our home {whilst i suspect my waistline does not like this too much}. We choose mint and chestnut, strawberries and cream, vanilla and salted caramel.... Just too delicious. The salted caramel are my favourite, i can never, ever seem to get enough of caramel! A meal to remember...

I am absolutely no food critic however I have to say that I had possibly the best meal today I have ever had. I went to Bird Cow Fish in Surry Hills (for my international readers an inner Sydney suburb) and ordered the gnocchi with prawns, burnt, verjuice and crispy sage. Oh my, it was absolutely amazing and I would never normally order gnocchi! I was sad when I had eaten it all!

If you have not already been there, please, please go and try it and if you have been and didn't select the gnocchi, you must return. Delicious.

I'm planning on when I can return for round two. Wow, wow, wow.... Kellie xx

A Sydney breakfast continued...

Stupidly I forgot my camera this morning so these were taken on my BB and aren't that clear. Still, they capture Sydney beautifully don't they. Despite being a Sydney girl through and through, I still appreciate the beauty of our harbour.

Breakfast was spent at the Park Hyatt Sydney. And it was possibly the best breakfast I have ever had! I had the most divine fruit, muesli, nuts, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and waffles... Oh and a coffee and fresh apple juice. OK, so I over ate greatly but it was too delicious not to.

My mother insisted on taking a photo of me, so yes, that is me in the second shot, but I'm not a photo person so this is the best she was going to get!!

Just for the record...

My glamourous dinner friday night with lots of yummy wine wasn't to be. The tummy bug I thought had gone hadn't, so to my lovely readers who were concerned about my sore head Saturday morning didn't even go close to happening! So, this Sunday morning, Nicole and I are heading off to one of my favourite patisseries. Perhaps russian roulette with my tummy but i'm up for the risk. No one feel sorry for me haha!! Kellie x

More lovely vintage finds...

Here are some more gorgeous finds from the fabulous vintage store near my place. I love how they have all their wonderful things displayed outside the shop so all the passers by can see and admire it all. They always have new things too. Here are my recent favourites...

I love this art. This would be perfect in our entry way...

If only I had the room for something so stylish in our place!

I am always attracted to this style of chandelier. The more sparkle the better I say!

What a stunning french painted screen and such gorgeous chairs to match!!

Something sweet!

It's my husband Luke's birthday on the weekend. And very importantly we need something delicious for dessert. Whilst normally I would try my luck in the kitchen we recently discovered a little patisserie close by that makes the most divine lemon meringue pie. So in consultation with Luke we are having one of these little babies in the shot for dessert!

Since I have dessert on the mind, tell me, what is your favourite dessert? Kellie xx Ps.

If you are a Sydney sider or visiting, make sure you stop by here. xx
