Having attempted macarons myself and the work that goes into them, i realised i may as well just purchase these from the experts... Fortunately one of the Adriano ZumBo patisseries are just a few mins away from our home {whilst i suspect my waistline does not like this too much}. We choose mint and chestnut, strawberries and cream, vanilla and salted caramel.... Just too delicious. The salted caramel are my favourite, i can never, ever seem to get enough of caramel! Kellie xx

ReplyDeleteI've got the coffee machine on now - I've not attempted to make them, though thought at some stage I would.
They are quite the trend now aren't they.
have a great moment to yourself with the caramel one and a cup of tea or coffee.

oh I adore macarons too. I looked at the recipe and decided it is best left to the professionals. : )
ReplyDeleteWhat delightful colorful treats and photography! I love Macaroons... when we were visiting my Mom's Country of North Wales they made the most delicious ones with Rice Paper underneath each and an Almond on top... difficult to find them fresh here in the States.

Hi Kellie..after watching all Adrianno's TV series showing how he makes them all..I won the DVD..I do envy you having a store nearby! I think if there was one near me I'd just have to try them all one by one.
ReplyDeleteI've attempted them once myself and it's definitely easier to buy some from the experts! These look wonderful, Kellie ~ I'd love to try some of Adriano's sometime.
ReplyDeleteI love salted caramel too! Another great place for macarons is Baroque in The Rocks or La Renaissance Patisserie, also in The Rocks (same owners). Scrumptious!
