Putting my finger on it...

I would love to hear what you think about this kitchen. I think I really do like it and I can't quite put my finger on why. I think it's the mix of styles all rolled into one lovely space. Perhaps its the flooring, perhaps it's the glorious white feel or perhaps it's the lovely outdoor space that glistens in the back ground. Not quite sure. I can imagine though it absolutely wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea even though it is a relatively simple design and look.

Like it or not really getting it? Kellie x

  1. ooo yes i love. I think it is the mix of fresh white cabinetry and modern elements - the industrial pipes and flooring (I think that is polished concrete or epoxied concrete). Of course all that natural light is a big plus too!

    Love!

  2. Here's what I like:
    *The color palette.
*The juxtaposition of the modern elements of ducting, stainless, and concrete flooring with the soft traditional wood cabinetry.
    *The lighting.
*The addition of flowers and antiques.
Ok, so I just described the whole room. I like it. :)

  3. Hi darling Kellie,
I like the "lofty" ceiling but I think the light coming from those doors is what gets me. Beautiful space.

  4. Maybe the hard industrial components alongside the pretty pinks and blues as well? No matter why..wouldn't it be a joy to work in!

  7. I think it's the gorgeous light streaming in that makes it so enticing. I do love it. Whenever I look at a photograph of a kitchen, I try to imagine myself actually spending an afternoon cooking there. This one definitely passes that test with flying colours!

  8. I love it. Not sure I could actually live with the big industrial pipe overhead (imagine the dust!) but the rest is to die for.

  9. Looovve it. I'm all about the light, light, light. And how clean it looks. Matched with the industrial, unfinished, loft-like ceiling! The floors too. Sigh...back to my itty bitty kitchen I go:)

  11. I like the lighting in the kitchen and I think it is really fresh and pretty looking! I think it might be lacking a little bit of color though, I would put a little bit of blue or pink in it. :)

  27. There's not much NOT to love in that kitchen - love the floors, the cabinetry, the island in the middle and the two long working spaces either side, adore the bench tops and the beckon from outside is delightful!

  30. I like that kitchen! For me, I love how open it is. When I cook, smells get stuck in one area and I like for the kitchen to have a high ceiling. It also has great natural lighting. And instead of a wall being at the end, you have doors leading outside to a patio? Well whatever that is, you can see outside so well while cooking
