Roses + roses...


Saturday morning I completely missed the alarm and ended up at the flower markets just as they were closing at 10.55am. I ran to my favourite flower man who gave me 36 roses for $10 - outrageous!! Here are just a few in darling Samantha Robinson vases and they are incredibly beautiful. Orange, lemon and pink - such a special combination.

I always ask him the same question when choosing my roses 'will these last til tomorrow', he often laughs and says they will last you a week! Gotta be sure and enjoy these little darlings for as long as possible. Kellie xx

    Aah, a friend just gifted me a similar bouquet, but a bit hotter in hue.

    And, yes, they lasted well into the following week.
    Cut the stems under water, add any preservative packets offered up, and change that water every three days.

    Oh Kellie, they're gorgeous! I wish we had some flower markets to attend - it must be stunning. I love the colours and the way they look in the vases and against the beautiful lightshade fabric. SO pretty! Have a great week :)

    A beautiful combination it is :) Dont roses allways last a week? at the least? They do here in Norway, but that might be becouse of the cold....

    The colors are GORGEOUS!! And the prices, unheard of..lucky you! I would have roses in every room if I had a connection like that..lol. LOVE what you did with them and the colors are so spectacular...gorgeous.

    Ok that will probably sound dumb of me but I've never bought flowers for myself, never made a flower arrangement either! I guess I didn't see the point since it will die so fast... but seeing your beautiful vases with the colorful roses made me jealous (in a good way!). Maybe I should give it a shot sometime!

    Hi Kellie finali had chance to catch up with all the posts I have missed wow busy girl loved the picture your client sent in, & the chairs are fantastic love them especially with your cushions. The chairs in your left hand coloum I saw on TV the other night The golden girls, good fashion never dies hey!!
