I've decided I need some serious furniture changes in our home. Next to source will be a gorgeous french settee for our home. I just love this fabric below and finally, I will have a big enough item to use it on! Phew! And double phew, my father has an upholstery business to make my vision come alive although, I'm not sure he will be so excited - he never quite understands my fabric choices and always jokes and says, if a client asked for this, I would refuse. It always makes me laugh. He saw my favourite pink zebra cushions that are also a favourite with my lovely customers he couldn't believe his eyes. Bit of the old school type he is - we have very different tastes! Kellie xx

Kellie, It's probably just as well your father has different tastes to you as far as fabric is concerned :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous fabric. Love it.

You are so lucky, a Dad to upholster your treasures. What a dream! Emma.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE if anyone in my family had an upholstery business! However, I would be afraid that my love affair with thrift store shopping would only get worse as a result of the possibilities!
ReplyDeleteI think the fabric is gorgeous! Going to look great :) xoxo Marie
ReplyDeleteThat will be a stunning piece. Don't forget to post the finished item please. I am looking foward to seeing it!
ReplyDeleteI completely relate! In fact I picked up a desk today and my father right away said it was junk, but he didn't notice it had great bones and with a little paint it's going to be gorgeous!!! That Anne Chovie print has always been one of my favorites of hers!! xx Danielle
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Kellie.
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your lovely blog and adore your fresh look with color and sometimes "whimsy"... Thank you for your kind comments on my blog, Kellie.
ReplyDeleteBisous,
Genie
I really like the french settee!
ReplyDeleteIt'll be fabulous Kellie, it looks like Designers Guild? Can't wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteI think it will look great! Your dad is so funny and definitely from a different generation - my parents are the same! :)
ReplyDeleteWowza! How fabulous is that piece going to be!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the couch will look amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh i love it when my father interjects with his ideas (um, career Navy, hardly fashion decor??) & my husband will offer advice (he's a soldier) & i've learnt to just TELL not ASK their opinion. Funnily enough, my husband only just realised when tossing recyclable waste at the tip, where Revolve (2nd hand furniture) was - at the tip!! Hasn't done me any justice in the "look what i've brought home to recover/ paint/ refurbish" department. Love Posie
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous fabric!
ReplyDeleteWow, I cant wait to see it, gorgeous chair, how handy to have an upholsterer in the family.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful print! I'm on flowers myself very much, all my house is filled with pretty flowery prints on courtains and pillows, and I think it's should be a good idea to refresh some of them for the spring. I should start now, isn't it? :-)
