Roses today...

These are the remainder of my flower market purchases from the weekend. I do adore these Julia and David Austin roses, the smell is divine, and their frilliness and girliness is perfect. I do have to admit though, they barely last very long at all especially since it has been quite hot in Sydney the past few days. Doesn't matter, enjoying their beauty for a couple of days is fine! 12. They are so pretty Kellie - I've been reluctant to buy flowers here lately because of the heat too - I like to be able to enjoy them for as long as I can. Have a lovely day x

  17. I love roses. I know a lot of people say the scent is old fashioned, but I think there is nothing more pleasant then the perfume of roses flowing through the house. Beautiful.

  22. Lovely roses. Unfortunately I live above 6,000 feet in the rockies in Colorado at zone 4 and cannot grow the David Austen Roses that I love so much. Thank you for posting them. All I see outside right now are twigs and snow.

  23. Hi kellie, I love all of your flowers, they really do make home and add a touch of whimsy and romance... Especially the david austen. I saw some really pretty david austens called William shakespeare last time i was at the garden centre, they had a bit of a peony look which was just gorgeous.

  32. I don't much like florist's roses - I get puns!- but I have always grown David Austin roses and even trekked to Wolverhampton to see them growing. They have such wonderful shape, and nearly always a beautiful scent - the brown ones are intriguing too~
