Following on from yesterday's post there is absolutely no chance that our house will be blessed with any kind of Christmas tree. This gorgeous little thing yesterday just sealed the deal! I came home and Molly had found the jar of caramels I had made on the weekend, knocked it off our side table, broke the jar and managed to take the caramels away to be eaten. There was paper shredded everywhere and little teeth marks in the caramel... Her breath even started to smell like caramel!
Lucky I caught her in the act and she didnt get to eat too much. Cheeky thing! So, no tree for us, just well placed, safe decorations I think!

AWWWW!!! SHe is adorable!
ReplyDeleteBeen there before. My dog ate a whole bag of Peanut Butter bon bons including the wrappers. Needless to say, we spent time at the vet. Molly's adorable!
ReplyDeleteIn the second photo, she's giving you the slightly frightened "I didn't do it!" look. :) I know it well!
ReplyDeleteOh dear! We usd to have a family dog who would steal people's presents, especially if they had lollies in them. Once we came home and she'd unwrapped a box of chocolates and had buried them all over the house. She even had a caramel stuck in her teeth. We learnt to lift everything up from under the tree after then :)
ReplyDeleteps you are lucky she didn't eat too many xx
Oh no! Sorry to hear that. It's funny how she can go from looking like an angel in the first photo to a "don't mess with me" face in the 2nd.
ReplyDeleteCute and beautiful Molly!
ReplyDeleteAwww, what a sweet face! Thank goodness she didn't eat too many caramels but what a bummer about the tree :(
ReplyDeleteLOL! I havt wo labs that are one and they crashed into our tree last night while wrestling.. good thing we skipped the glass balls this year :) I am in the process of wrapping some branches with yarn to use as a (tabletop) display space for some fav ornaments..
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute! Butter would not melt in her mouth. Mimi x
ReplyDeleteOooh, what a gorgeous picture of that dog! He has good taste though!
ReplyDeleteKristin xo
It is so funny because your Molly and my William sound like a perfect pair, no proper tree for us this year either. Imagine our two little ones left alone in a house together!!! EK!
ReplyDeleteJxx
Hmmm, can you blame her? They did look delicious! xx
ReplyDeleteI am glad she did not try chocolate!!! She has a sweet tooth, hmm?
ReplyDeleteLittle thing she is, she surely has big impact!!!!
Well, you could have an up side down tree... ( :
Just kidding.
xx Victoria
They're just little kids... Molly is really cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie ! That reminds me of the time Zoe ate 5 pieces of raw bacon when I turned my back for a minute.
ReplyDeleteBetter safe than sorry. I have to put my little guy in the laundry room when I'm out. I caught him trying to sneak a chocolate coin yesterday-he had to climb on the couch to reach the dish which was on my sofa table behind the couch! He's such a little weasel but I love him to pieces!
ReplyDeleteShe is too cute!
ReplyDeleteOh no Kellie! That is kind of adorable though; she looks so innocent :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww what a cutie! You could'nt stay angry at a beautiful face like that :) Samie
ReplyDeleteWow Molly was slow off the mark... I can't believe it has taken her this long. I would have smashed the jar on the first night.

That sweet face is worth giving up the Christmas tree for this year...precious!!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness!! how clever of molly to get into your caramels!!! but with that cute face, how could you get angry?!!! Could you place a little tree high up on a table perhaps? Hopefully next year she might be over the chewing stage and you will be able to go all christmassy!!

Ah but she looks like butter wouldnt melt. My dogs very naughty but as long as there isnt anything edible on the tree she leaves it along...our old cat on the other hand used to climb up it to play with the baubles, get stuck in the tinsle and have the tree over (but where would we be without them hey)
ReplyDeletehaha that's hilarious :) my pup would do the same thing
ReplyDeleteShe's adorable !
ReplyDeleteMolly!!!! ha ha... her little face looks like she's saying... "I didn't do it!" Hey, if I saw a jar of caramels I would do the same thing.. yum. xo
ReplyDeleteOh no...lucky she didn't get sick...or eat broken glass.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta love them..just look at her sweet face. xoxoxo Hugs
Been there, done that! LOL! I think dogs are more creative than we like to think!
ReplyDeleteMolly is a beautiful dog! Lily is too! Wow, you must be proud of them. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a lovely breed.
Our dog is also a Cavalier, Black Tan. His name is Herman and he is 8 months old now. He has a darling personality and is happy most of the time he is awake.
Our last dog was also a Cavalier (Blenheim-coloured). He died, only 4,5 years old, after suffering from Syringomyelia. A terrible disease. We had severe doubts when we decided to get a new dog. Should we take the chance to have another Cavalier? We try to check out many different breeds, to see if we would like another breed as much as we have liked a Cavalier. In the end we decided to go for another Cavalier, it is a breed that is close to our heart is seems. Now we are more than convinced that we took the right decision for our family. Herman is a dream-dog in every way possible (everyone say's that about their dog, don't we?).
To find you have two Cavalier was just a bonus to my visit to you beautiful blog! I found you visiting another blog I like, and I thought I pay you a visit. I'm so glad I did! :o)
I love to come back and visit you again!
Best regards from Norway,
Anette Willemine
Ok I don't want to be bossy but YOU MUST HAVE A TREE!!!!!! Your dog is adorable. You'll find a way to make the tree work!
ReplyDeleteAww but her little face is so innocent lol! Alfie smelled suspiciously of cough sweeties the other day. He had helped himself to a packet of honey and lemon lockets from my handbag!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was there to receive a little caramel kiss from Molly. How divine!!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, little pookie pie with a sweet tooth. He's adorable just like you ~ xox Alexandra
ReplyDeleteOh what a little rascal lol. And she looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. It must be like having a toddler. But it's a small price to pay for such a cutie:)
ReplyDeleteSuch a cheeky girl!!! thought my doggies were the only naughty ones who do things like that... lol... love the top pic of gorgeous Molly..... soooooo guilty! I love how you can always tell the culprit by the look on their faces!
ReplyDeletelove Louxxx
Hahahahaha! I just love the cheekiness pets have!
ReplyDelete~ Clare x
OH my goodness glad you caught her before she really chowed down, even though caramel might have been hard for her to chew! I bet your decorations look amazing regardless of having no tree this year.
