A new painting itch...

I have an itch. That itch is to paint our dining room table. Something bright and bold. Perhaps turquoise. I found this inspiration as examples of how gorgeous paint can look and how it can transform a piece of furniture. Now to convince the husband this would a fabulous thing for him to do for me... Wish me the best of luck! Kellie xx

  1. I have had that itch for a while but doubt the 'other half' will have that same itch :) Those light fittings are so beautiful too!

  2. After all the pen marks on our table from my children's over enthusiastic colouring-in, I'm thinking painting it is going to be a great option. I think plates of food would look fabulous on turquoise.

  3. Love all those images. I've been staring at a piece of furniture in my kitchen and want to paint it a bright colour but feeling a little anxious about it. Everything in our house is white. But I need colour. I just don't know which colour to choose. Good luck getting the hubby to paint. My husband is a great painter so I just remind him of that and gush about how bad I am but how fantastic his painting is. Feeling quite proud of himself, he usually offers to paint for me!

why are men so hard to convince? they let us pick out their clothes, so why not their house's clothes?

  13. Before I even finished your first paragraph, I was thinking you need to first get permission from the husband!! I painted our master bath in that same beautiful turquoise. I love it, but he on the other hand...is still coming around. Good luck!! ;)
