Gorgeous things from fabulous fabrics!

I recently saw designs from the Edit-Group and i instantly fell in love. The fabrics are to die for... Incredible designs, colours and impeccable quality. They have a fabulous range of fabrics that you can purchase by the metre as well as amazing chairs, lamps, lampshades and cushions available in numerous sizes as well as fabulous mannequins as seen in image 3. The very talented Belinda Seper is part of this project along with Sharyn Storrier Lyneham,  no surprises this new venture is as delightful as it is!

I absolutely adore the gorgeous colours and unique prints.

2 weeks early...

After the week i feel i have had, i cannot wait for my trip away with Kate to the Hunter Valley! We stay at this stunning boutique hotel called Thistle Hill, right in the middle of the wineries in Pokolbin. The decor is divine, the breakfast is freshly made each morning, the service is impeccable AND we will be tasting lots of fabulous wines (and possibly lots of cheese too)!!

Its 2 weeks away although i really was wishing it was this weekend...

3 loves - flowers, colour & lollies!!

There are 3 things that i'm a bit of a sucker for in life:

1. Flowers
2. Beautiful and vibrant colours
3. Lollies!!

How divine are those suspended flowers?! I have seen this done alot recently and i'm still in love with the concept as I was the first time I saw it. Oh and the table full of confectionary, i'm in heaven! Perhaps, i'm also the only woman on this planet that would choose lollies over chocolate!!?? Is there any other confectionary lovers out there?

Planning for spring time!!

My lovely husband is going to build me a deck (he is an accountant by the way). The  motivation for this is that i have this gorgeous umbrella and just don't have the current space outdoors to fit it properly to really enjoy it! My umbrella is similar to this image below, apologies for the quality, just couldn't find one that was nicer, many other images seem so tacky! It's winter here in Sydney, but it won't be long and spring will be here!

So as my husband works out how is going to build this deck and what he needs to do it, i am going to focus on what i do best! What type of outdoor furniture should i select for outside. See i could do a table and chairs sort of thing, but, i really want it to be a place we can laze around and enjoy the sunshine, read the paper or have cup of coffee...

What sort of style do you prefer? I have found some ideas here...

The gorgeous umbrella just like mine!

I do love the plants and beautiful furniture here.

I wonder if my accountant husband can work out a way to suspend these fabulous baskets :)

Now i didn't want table and chairs but i do love this fabric and use of beautiful colour.

Cupcakes! Not bad first go....

My lovely friend Amy shared her fabulous red velvet cup cake recipe. I recently had one of Amy's cakes and it was delightful.... Smooth texture and amazing cream cheese icing. Now i'm not much of a baker so who knows how things could have ended up, i did need to purchase a few essential items that would be very helpful for the process... Hence the shopping bag! How gorgeous is that lovely pink bag though (although i know they are so bad for the environment)? I couldn't resist the black and white polka dot paper either for the cupcakes... I hope Amy you are proud!!!

I did need a cup of tea and some chocolates to get me through the process!

How red is that mixture. Possibly not great for the insides but every so often is OK don't you think...

My gorgeous cup cakes, and they even taste fabulous too! I do need to practice the icing bit but first go i was quite pleased.

Still loving after...

I recently bought these roses at my local flower markets. The colours were amazing -incredibly vibrant. I took the photo of my roses a week later, whilst they have changed and the colours have dulled i still find them incredibly beautiful. I love how the petals change shape, the colour softens and the edges curl up.

I actually really do love the after as well...
