Do you know, Kellie, I am so in awe of people who decorate with bold colours. I'm a bit of a scardy cat when it comes to using them, but it looks so good. I'm a bit the same when it comes to clothes. My colour of choice is black but I am able to use colours with my accsessories !! The interior looks brilliant and the exterior is amazing. Maybe this post will help me to be brave and decorate with some bolder colours !!!! XXXX
I bet that aqua decking is gorgeous in real life (and in the pic) but if i were to paint my decking that colour my friends would come around one-by-one and say "OMG, what have you done!" People are just so afraid of this kind of bold decorating... I sooooooo luv it!
Would I do it, no but these places work. I really adore the home in Florida's outdoor area. I think I need to move there next just so I can ramp up my color meter without being shy. Great post!!
I'm Kellie Collis and Ada & Darcy is a place I share my thoughts, interests and happenings at my store and my life. I love to decorate, love beautiful textiles, love bright colours and love to share the bits and bobs that inspire me each day. With lots and lots planned over the coming months @ Ada & Darcy, I hope you enjoy visiting as much as i enjoy sharing gorgeous things i find along my adventures.

ReplyDeleteLove the pictures. I have actually blogged about the first one, it looks so fresh. Adore the striped sofa.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI gave you a little mention on my blog today :)
It's a very 1950's Americana color combination, and then resurrected again in the 1980's, and back farther to the tropical Art Deco style of Miami.
ReplyDeleteLove the first picture especially. And totally agree with the comments about Florida- great call. Very South Beach, Miami to me.
ReplyDeleteAhh that black and white striped couch in the last picture is PERFECTION! I love it with the turqoise walls too.

ReplyDeleteLOVE this color combination -- the black really grounds the brighter colors and makes it seem less kiddie.
