I found some fun, lovely, pretty photographs for you tonight.
I had one of those days today. Those days where stress levels rise, things go wrong and there isn't much that you can do. It sounds like a dreadful day, it wasn't that bad, just had a panic when my computer decided to play up just before a deadline and i could see the time ticking away!
I suppose I am a bit of a perfectionist, and i like things to go as they should (or i think they should). Sometimes i wish i was one those fabulous people that just go with the flow, take things as they come and embrace the "things will work out in the end" approach.... I try, but when it comes to the crunch i revert back to my own ways... Is there anything you try not to do but just can't help it???
Kellie x
These are wonderful , colourful images.....don't worry about your day.....it's just the way you are and you probably can't change that but you shouldn't anyway 'cos that's what makes you you....Anything I try not to do but can't help myself doing it ?..... opening a bar of chocolate !!! XXXX
ReplyDeleteThese are fun bright happy images! I too end up getting stressed over things when I know I shouldn't... would love to remain calm, but sometimes... :-) Hope tomorrow is a better day for you!
ReplyDeleteOh sorry honey that you had a tiresome day, I know what you mean. It is hard to let go.
ReplyDeleteBut hey lovin' the sass in the second last pic, that'll cheer you up! She looks like she's going to kick butt!
ps thank you for your lovely comments too, very much appreciated.

HI Kellie. My last 2 weeks have been carbon copies of what you just described. However I am the one testing and crashing the programs whilst everyone waits.... and waits.. for the next task to begin!! Also a perfectionist here! I think Jackie is right. It is what makes us tick and what probably makes us do our jobs right! It will all be better when we win powerball!! But on the upside, all pretty pics here to cheer our day!! thanks Julie
ReplyDeleteHi Kellie, we are who we are and that is what makes us interesting. Imagine how boring life would be if we were all the same.
ReplyDeleteIt's the bumps in the road that make the trip worthwhile

What bright and beautiful pics to brighten up your day. I hope you are relaxing now with a glass of wine!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that you have a bad day, but I understand you. I feel the same sometimes and there are some days that I think that everything goes wrong. It happen and what I can tell you it's to wait and calm dowun that there is always a solution and It won't be bad for too long!!!
ReplyDeleteHope it will go better tomorrow
love Gaia
Ooo me again, didn't mention that I like your new font, and the header looks a little different too. xxx
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful pictures! We all have days like that. It can be really annoying when we do have them but at least you have some lovely inspiration =)
ReplyDeleteNice photos, great colors. Oh yes, I have loads of tough days. I find the best medicine is laughter... especially since most of my bad days are the result of stress/frustration. If you laugh at yourself, the troubles often melt away.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures & great colours! My remedy for days when the s**t hits the fan is chocolate, a glass of wine & a good night's sleep. Everything always seems a little less chaotic the next morning. Hope you have a good remedy up your sleeve too. Lee :)
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful images, love! And I feel for you and your rough day, I've had so many like that. I can't dodge my perfectionist ways either. So hard!
ReplyDeleteI think all of us must have a bit of that streak in us, you're not alone.
ReplyDeletehow long do you have?? of course there are things I try not to do...ugh! it is a challenge but one that can be won. great photographs!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous photographs. I'm sorry your computer gave you trouble before a deadline - sometimes it just seems as though our machines take advantage of our stress and cause problems at the worst times (as silly as that sounds).
ReplyDeletei love this...
ReplyDeleteand the clutch bag on the first pict is supraaa stunning! i wanna it so much.
she is beautiful.

Sorry you've been under stress!! But look at you, you still give us a post of total loveliness. You rock, Kellie! Oh, and I like the little changes you've made to your page--it looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteRemember that "Your old ways" got you to where you are today :] So don't completely discount them, even if on the surface you are displeased, they have their purpose :]
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures and I hope today is a better day sweet lady! I'm not a very patient person...I work hard on that everyday!!

Wow, those are some gorgeous bright colors!
ReplyDeleteSmile, hun! :)
We sound just like each other!
ReplyDeleteNo matter what I tell myself, I end up putting too much on my daily to-do list. Then at the end of the day, I always feel as though I didn't accomplish enough! Sigh...I need to just relax as well :)
Sounds so familiar....I do that same. I believe that everything I do is a reflection of me..so, I also get a little crazy at crunch time..but just think, once the deadline comes, it's all over...and then you can breath. When it is over and you step back...it's usually just what you wanted it to be.
ReplyDeleteI wish that I could learn to just stop! I just can't help it..My mind is alllllwaaaaysss going...I guess that's just how creative people think..I hope. :)
xo
love that last photo with those red feathers! hope tomorrow it's a better day! thanks so much for your lovely comments when I was away, darling! xo
ReplyDeleteThe feather boas are so lively and fun!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I'm a big time perfectionist as well. I have a very hard time relaxing when things are going wrong, or wrong in my opinion.
this post is too funny because you basically described me too! i've always wished i was one of those go-with-the-flow types of individuals but no, i have my dad's wonderful go, go attitude and mix it up with perfectionist and you can sometimes have hyperventilating. so i completely understand your day, whatever happend. these gorgeous pictures are making me swoon quite nicely though. happy new day!
ReplyDeleteHabits are hard to break but, they are also good reminders to check in with our Self.
ReplyDeleteI try not to hold on to old and out dated information, and make a fresh if not neutral approach when seeing again someone who's information inventory has been a sore subject.
This is my challenge and I am bound and determined to be a better person.
Be well.
Do good.
All ways.
All days.
Stay true.
So like you...i wish i was a "fly by the seat of your pants" sort of girl but i'am not...if things don't go my PLANNED way i stress...i try to relax more in the Summer...no work all play which i can do because i get my summers all off....love your images today..
ReplyDeleteWhenever I am in a stressful situation I try to just walk away for a minute and concentrate on my breathing and meditate a little to get my bearings back. Crying helps too because it usually makes me realize how silly it is to get so worked up about something. I try to tell myself it will work out. Sorry to hear about your computer. That is the hardest one for me. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteKelly,
ReplyDeleteI completely understand...us perfectionists have to stick together! :) Hope today is much better and happier!
Like the new layout of your blog!
Here's to just letting go (sometimes!).
Bisous,
Melissa
gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteevery week, my house gets to a state where it's so cluttered that i want to have a heart attack. every time i'm cleaning, i tell myself - not next week, the house is going to stay neat and tidy from now on.
guess how long that lasts?
Oh, I hope tomorrow goes better! I can completely relate and hope things calm down for you! Take care, Caroline
ReplyDeleteI know this feeling very well! :-(
ReplyDeleteAnd also how annoying it can be when other people say don't stress, al will work out in the end!
But, truth is, in the end all turns up fine!
I hope it will for you too! :-)
What have been helping me a lot to feel less stressed and think about to join the flow "it's going to be ok" is yoga and morning workout, such as running (which I just started and already feel great)
Lovely photos btw!

Gorgeous! I love the colors in these pics! It definitely brightened up my mood just there! I know what you mean about being a perfectionist. I've been told I'm pretty calm and collected, but I tend to freak on the inside. Oh well, sometimes it's better to care!
ReplyDeleteHow are you today? feel a bit better?
ReplyDeleteI try not to drink on Monday nights, but I just cant help it sometimes. Great post.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics. I think we all make the same mistakes over and over - that is the beauty of being human. xv
