White or Gold? Gold or White?

I was very lucky to have received this gorgeous print from Nicole! I love the windows, the flowers, the colours of the pot plants and how they graciously hang over the balcony. I have decided that this would be a beautiful gift for someone special but i cannot say who as they will then know!!

I cannot decide between which frame is should choose. I want something grand, ornate and fabulous. So.... I pose this question - white or gold??????

P.s. Check out Nicole's gorgeous work too at her Esty store

  2. Thats a gorgeous print, and for the frames you cant go wrong with either one. I would have gone for the white one probably, but knowing how quickly I get bored of things I would paint it turquoise or maybe even yellow or... ;)

  3. I'd usually say white but I love that gold mirror -- it's a softer, more modern gold. Fun!

  7. What what it is worth, I think the white one. I also have the same mirrors in Maison de Poitiers my Chambres D'hotes, the shop that was selling them here in France, sold out very quickly as they proved to be very popular.

  10. Though both are gorgeous, I have to say gold! It brings out the golden tones on the beautiful exterior. I also think the gold frame will help that gorgeous black lamp post stand out even more... and the gold seems more French to me... as this print reminds me of a balcony in Paris.. So you will have the gold, black, then the jewel colors from the flowers which to me creates a darling piece of rustic glam.. which would be just lovely!

  14. How absolutely stunning. I love how the colours of the flowers juxtapose against the warn sandstone of the building. Anyway..my pick would be the GOLD FRAME - I think it matches a little better than the white.

  18. Gold as it does more for the picture and if it is for someone else that would be a safer option.
Lovely images like that deserve the ornate look too. Very 'right' I think. :)Irene

  19. i think white works best - especially seeing that your style tends to be more serene with a modern twist.

  21. While I usually like white and think it really makes an image pop, in this case I am going to say gold! It seems to suit your print better :)

  22. It's got to be the Gold Kellie! It will blend in with the print as the colour of the paint on the building wall has that rich golden tones. I love the white but I think the gold will suit better :)
