Too stunning for a Monday...

These pictures really evoke my passion for stunning interiors. Such incredible flowers, colours, textures and of course beautiful use of interesting and unique decor. I adore things that lack structure, don't match and are feminine. My style differs so much from my Mum, i'm not sure where it came from, sometimes she laughs and says i was swapped at birth....

What do you look for in your ideal interior? Kellie xx

  1. I think simply adding flowers to your home can make you appreciate being there so much more....even if it is just a rose stolen from your neighbours garden ;)

  2. You know my ideal changes and evolves, Were about to build our third house and I might go back to the old Australian style, you know, like in the 40's, weatherboard, veranda and real simple inside ... hey, we'll see.xx

  5. These pictures are gorgeous, specially the last one. My style is totally different from my mum's too and also from my two sisters. Theirs is very classy and polished and has remained the same throughout the years, whereas mine changes with every season ;)

  7. I love the dramatic colors in these pictures and then the very feminine floral theme too!

I also like the unique mixture of patterns, styles, decor and colors...my mother is much more traditional, but I think she has grown fond of my more eclectic mix. Take care, Caroline

  9. The first picture is amazing. Such rich, vibrant colors! I don't usually go for floral prints and if I do, they're usually black and white, but these pictures make me want to change my tune.

  11. The rose in the cup is adorable. My ideal interior would include a few large things from the beach, such as a rock, shell or a piece of driftwood, shaped by wind and sea.

  12. Oh, these gorgeous pics...I love all of them!
Well, I am just like you, nothing at all like my family, my sisters and parents rather traditional and I am the one with the crazy artwork, the colors, being in artist/decorating/design business is already a far departure, but it's fun and we all are close to each other anyway!
My ideal interiors? Different, not cookie cutter. Colorful, references to the past, personalality, contemporary touches, part bohemian, part funky....

  14. Lovely flowers. I suppose I'd describe my style as a bit of a mishmash -- I love bright colors and graphic prints, but more simple and streamlined (even masculine) furniture. For accessories, I love hits of Chinoiserie (probably got this from my grandmother who was a lover of all things Chinoserie), greek key/neoclassical and just about anything with a bit of whimsy (e.g., Jonathan Adler).

  17. i too love eclectic, non matching decor. i don't want end tables, lamps, dishes, furniture, well, anything really to match. more fun that way if it doesn't. more interesting. creates a unique balance somehow. and always fresh flowers in the house and at my shop. i always splurge on them. :)

  27. Oh, good question. I certainly look for something that really makes it feel like a home. Perhaps little vignettes that reflect the owners taste, style and experiences.

    Kellie, I have also awarded you a 'Lovely blog award'. If you would like to pass it on you just;

  29. My favourite interiors are ones that make me stop when I enter the room.

  30. That is such a hard question to answer because I love so many styles! I personally love natural and comfortable spaces.

  31. To decorate a house is something that I am in fact learning now, that I have my own house... and now I can see the differences between my mother's taste and mine... But I still change a lot... (even though I love pink always)... the only thing I am sure is, in fact are two:
I like clean spaces and flowers... from small details to big arrangements...
In fact, I am sending a link of a small decoration I have at my office to make my working time lighter!
    Have a nice week!
