I'm not sure if i told you, but i love gardening. Problem is i have little... actually no idea about gardening whatsoever other that i know i adore beautiful flowers. For my birthday, i received a garden membership so whenever i have a gardening question, i can call my own horticulturalist and ask him for direction!
I do love peonies, so i decided i would call my horticulturalist, Matt and ask if i could grow a peony or two... Unfortunately "in my climate" i have a 1 in about 200 chance of growing a peony plant that will actually produce a flower (so in essence no chance).
So, this made me think what would i love to have but just can't right now. For me, its peonies and a gorgeous Collette Dinnigan dress (or two)...
What do you want right now but just can't have? Kellie xx
Ohh such incredible images. I would also love a Collette Dinnigan dress but cannot afford!!
ReplyDeletei love peonies!! They are so gorgeous! Your images are amazingly beautiful as well. A Collette Dinnigan would be lovely.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful compilation of images. Unfortunately I think a Collette Dinnigan dress is a little out of my reach right now as well!
ReplyDeleteI too adore peonies. I've planted three and hope that they will flower eventually. Until then, I have florist shops, fabulous photos like yours above, and faux versions to sustain me.

ReplyDeleteGosh I really really love peonies! I wanted to have them in my bouquet but they were out of season!
ReplyDeleteLove peonies and I also love ranunculus...but I do not have a green thumb at all...even though, I adore flowers and really try to have a few rooms that have a simple vase of flowers in them at all times....just makes any room more beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh, my little Tuffy does make his mark on my white bedding...but I just love them both too much...so I have to make them coexist! Take care, Caroline
Kellie, I feel your pain! Here in TX, we can't grow peonies either...I suppose our searing summers are just too much for them. Ah well. Thanks for the eye candy, though!

i've mentioned i'm buying peonies once a week now for my shop, cannot get enough of them. theya really are just this perfect flower, scent and all. i would absolutely want on in my yard (if i owned my own home which i don't). so if i did, i'd be with you on the gardening side of things, i'd want to become a bit more knowlegeable about what to pick and how to care for it. i would love a simple yet pretty little yard and garden!
ReplyDeleteI love both Collette and the Peonies! Great pics!!

ReplyDeleteI so love peonies, there are among my very fav flowers ..; and those dresses ..
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful arrangement. thnaks for sharing.
Oh Kellie, that's a shame. I found out that peonies do really well here in the Pacific Northwest so I planted some in our garden last fall. Much to my surprise most of them have made an appearance now although I'm told I have to wait a year until I have actual flowers. These are some of the best peony photos I've seen. Fingers crossed that mine turn out like these beauties!
ReplyDeleteOh there are so many things but right now I would have to agree with your two things!
ReplyDeleteI too long for a green thumb. So, yes that is something I crave for at present that I cant seem to get.
ReplyDeleteHa Ha, There is so much I want and just can't have! I think my blog is about just that... ;) I also love gardens, and I have very little knowledge of how to grow one into a place I am proud of. At the moment I want a garden with retaining walls in place, good drainage, quite corners for conversation, a perfect poolside entertaining area and a magical place my boys can imagine being explorers in. It is a big dream and We just broke ground for our first retaining wall! I think it will take me years. But I still dream.... I love Peonies too. I am more suited for Cameilas and Rhododendrons, and hydrangeas.
ReplyDeletePeonies are beautiful. No luck with them in Brisbane as well.

All I want in my garden are Peonie Roses...so sad we can't grow them here. I wish I could wear Collette Dinnigan, think I need a 'makeover' before I could get away with it!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kellie, The peonies in those pictures are just gorgeous I know a great wholesalers in Qld that do fake & they are just amazing if you wanted to get some let me know, I brought some hydraniums as in Qld its hard for me to get them all the time, & they are so real looking I know they are never the same as the real thing but these are the closest thing.
ReplyDeleteOhhh love that dress to hoe glam Elaine :)
