Floorboard art!

What a beautiful way to decorate the home from the floor up! Perhaps when I get sick and tired of our new floor boards I could take to them with a paintbrush, shame my artistic skills are less to be desired... And then when I was tired of that, a couple of coats of white paint would do the trick. Kellie xx

  6. I've done this before, but on a large floor canvas instead. That way, you can roll it up and store it away when you get tired of it. It is very pretty though! K xx

  7. What a lovely way to decorate. Those floors would make me want to spend more time on the ground :) With some pillows.

  9. Up, it's the Lucite chairs that allow those floors to come alive, with surprise.

  11. It is very unique indeed, but how do you feel about stepping on art? I don't think I could make myself walk on it. I love the ghost chairs and composition of the whole room.

  12. That looks stunning! Love the ghost chairs as they don't block the view of the floor!

  14. Magic! I've never loved acrylic chairs, but I have to say, they really put the exclamation mark on this room!

  15. When I was a teenager, I babysat for a little boy whose mom did this with floors and furniture. The dad was a photographer. Now that I think of it...they were pretty cool. Of course, at the time, I just thought they were old.

  20. I love painted floor boards...a friend has hers painted with a large painterly tulip. If only I could make my husband understand the rational behind painting wood. It's hard enough for me to paint a chair let alone the whole floor. Maybe he should hang out with Luke...
