Today's flower market visit

I had a lovely morning at the flower markets. Whilst there wasn't a whole lot of pretty things available this morning I managed to find a little stall selling gorgeous David Austin roses. I was absolutely delighted with the find as I thought they had finished for the year! Now our house will be full of a beautiful fragrance.. There is nothing like the fragrance from a David Austin rose if you ask me. Kellie xx

Speaking of black...

I found this fabulous black and white striped rug and it is just too divine if you ask me - now just have to order! I'm also looking for something similar in this gorgeous picture.... Seems black is starting to creep more and more into my life. Kellie xx

And then there were buttons!

I don't think I have ever seen buttons looking so pretty and delightful! The splashes of colour here and there also work a treat! I do have a jar of buttons around here somewhere... Perhaps I too could attach them to a tablecloth for a fabulous look! Kellie xx

Pink table - it's new look

I moved a few things around on the weekend including popping one of my favourite ginger jars onto my new pink table. Doesn't it look so pretty! And there are more of the flowers I picked up at the flower markets last Saturday still looking lovely. Kellie xx

Creating beautiful things!

s I do love making use of beautiful fabrics and not just saving them for a piece of furniture. I adore these cushions I saw over at the Style Files, and then I spotted the Chaing Mai fabric made into gorgous art (you can also see the intital cushions that were made)! Just fabulous. I have done this with wallpaper in my home and next time I think I should give that a shot with the bits of fabric I have here and there! Kellie xx

Bathroom boldness

My husband Luke is a patient and easy going man. As much as I adore something this bold look i'm thinking something like this would be a bit too much for him. Plus being such a stickler for attention to detail, painting those stripes on the roof would be too much for him I think! Kellie xx

Bedroom wallpapering progress

Wallpapering duties have commenced in our bedroom and it's coming along much quicker this time. The limited metallic features makes this one a lot easier to hang and the bubbles are much easier to identify. I must say, I really do adore those gorgeous ribbons! Kellie x

An organised kind of aspiration

d
Whilst this is a shop I do have friends that have wardrobes like this. I plan mine to be just so organised by colour etc and it lasts probably about a day then I am back to my old messy habits. The mysterious things I think of during the day... Hmmm xx

Classic, classic

Love this room. Even though it's possibly a little more classic than my normal look. Must be those fabulous white chippendale chairs that caught my eye. I am constantly on the lookout for some just like those babies! Kellie xx

Pretty paints and the final DIY outcome!

Remember my post here with the pretty paints? Well this is what I did with them and how they turned out! Pretty don't you think!?

Step 1. Take of all the labels off the glass jars with warm soapy water
Step 2. Pour paint into the inside of the jars and removing any excess paint
Step 3. Let them dry
Step 4. Decorate them with pretty flowers!

Molly's temporary accessory!

Poor little Molly had a small procedure Thursday last week. Yesterday she decided that trying to scratch her wound where the stitches were was a good idea. Unfortunately this meant another trip to the vet and this is how they decided would prevent her doing any more damage. She isn't impressed at all with her temporary accessory... Perhaps she is disappointed that it isn't hot pink!?

Whilst she is under the weather she is getting lots of love (not that is she isn't smothered with love every other day)!! Kellie xx

The house is in order... Well sort of

As much as I love to lounge around and do not much, I also get lots of satisfaction out of beautifying our house. This weekend we have done lots and lots...

1. I painted two bed side tables (i'll show you this week)
2. Finished my project with those gorgeous paints I featured a couple of days ok (I will show you that too)
3. Oh yes and I painted a old chest of drawers white
4. Luke has commenced wallpaper duties in our bedroom
5. Lots of new plants out the front of our home
6. Two visits to the vet - and i'll show you that one as well

Seems like I have lots of things to share with you this week.

Oh, and why the picture!? Well, that colour is divine and i'm searching for a fabulous antique console to give it that stunning treatment. If you see something please let me know! Kellie x
